So, first of all congratulations for completing your treatment. Now as you completed your treatment with all the care and precautions its time to maintain the changes made in the treatment by wearing RETAINERS. They are worn to retain the changes made during the treatment using the aligner trays. Teeth have an incredible memory and wiill slowly return to the state it was before the treatment.

SEQUENCE OF WEARING A RETAINER -

Step 1 - First month - Wear your retainers full time like you were wearing the aligners.

Step 2 - Second month - Wear retainers for 20 hours and take for 4 hours .

Step 3 - Third month - Wear for 18 hours and take off for 6 hours in a day time.

Step 4 - Fourth month - Wear for 16 hours and take 8 hours off in a day time.

Step 5 - Fifth month - Wear for 14 hours and take 10 hours off in a day time.

Step 6 - Sixth month - Wear for 12 hours and 12 hours off in a day time.

Step 7 - Seventth month - Now you can wear for only 8 hours during night.

CAUTION - While removing the retainer they should feel passive and not tight, if they feel so you may have to increasing the wearing time of retainers.

STEPS TO MAINTAIN YOUR RETAINER'S AND YOUR ORAL HYGIENE

1 Do not wear retainers while eating.

2 Keep your retainers in its case only.

3 Clean your retainers with the help of warm water but not hot.

4 When retainers are not in your mouth it should be in the case because pets love to chew them.

5 Always carry you retainer to your appointments with the doctor ,we will clean them for you!

6 Do not clean your retainer on hot surfaces, hence keep it in its case .
